Northern Virginia Magazine has named Celebration by Rupa Vira one of the Top 10 Best Restaurants of 2026. This is our third time in the Top 10, and our second year in a row.
The magazine’s food critics spent months dining across the region to build their 2026 50 Best Restaurants list, then ranked the ten that rose above the rest. We are the only Indian restaurant in this year’s Top 10, and one of two Loudoun County restaurants to make it. The feature also runs in the magazine’s November 2026 issue.

What the Critics Loved
The critics called Celebration Chef Rupa’s “temple to spice, spherification, and smoke.” They traced our story from opening at the height of the pandemic, when the local Indian community rallied behind us, to the far larger following we’re grateful for today.
They also noticed who fills our dining room: multigenerational families with roots all over the world. And they enjoyed the theater, with dishes that can arrive wrapped in dry-ice mist at both the start and the end of the meal.
Their three must-order dishes:
- Achari Chilli Milli — a bold, tangy starter from our menu.
- Murg Makhni — our butter chicken, deeply marinated and rich with flavor.
- Celebration Special — our signature dessert of spiced cream, finished with rose petals and gold flakes. The critics named it the best of our showpiece dishes.
Come taste all three. See the full menu.
Thank You, Northern Virginia
This honor belongs to you. Every family dinner, birthday, anniversary and Sunday brunch you’ve shared with us helped earn it.
Chef Rupa Vira was born and raised in Mumbai and taught herself to cook. She started by catering small gatherings, opened Rupa Vira’s The Signature, and launched Celebration in 2020. Her idea has stayed the same: traditional Indian food with a modern twist, made fresh to order.
Thank you as well to our kitchen and front-of-house team, who make every night feel like a celebration.
